Arts & Crafts, firm, was formed by Haji Gulam Nabi Naqash in 1966 with the intention to trade in
exclusive Kashmiri hand weaved shawls, essence of Kashmir
handicrafts. The firm initially dealt in no more than hand weaved shawls,
however later diversified its product line gradually. All
the products are produced and fashioned in Kashmir, where
the firm has its head office. The firm also has setup a strong base in Delhi
and currently
functions principally from Delhi selling its range of
products both locally and overseas.
The firm has built up massive customer database in India,
through local trade, and overseas via exports to Middle East, Northern
America and Europe.
The firm, since its birth, has more remained focused on the
trade of shawls despite diversifying into other product
line. The owner's interest in and fondness of shawls is the
main reason for that.
